As a full-time Field Engineer, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of professional document, book, and wide format scanners. You will work as a member of the Customer Service team and serve as one point of contact for our clients (external as well as internal clients) for all matters related to scanners. A major part of your work will involve visiting customers on-site on a daily basis, maintaining continuous communication with clients and developing good relationships with them. You will also need to work in close collaboration with the Sales Account Managers.

This full-time role involves 80% travel to customer locations within the Benelux region.

Main Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain and repair scanners and associated software
  • Act as a single point of contact for customers for all matters related to scanners (hardware and software), and schedule daily on-site customer visits
  • Proactively address and resolve customer issues through close collaboration with iGuana team members
  • Perform all assigned work efficiently, accurately and in strict conformity with iGuana quality standards
  • Participate in and support the development of best-practice procedures for diagnosing and troubleshooting issues
  • Champion the adoption of new products, standards and best-practices by customers; provide training to customers
  • Maintain technical proficiency in your area of responsibility at all times: new hardware, software, etc.
  • Report and document customer visits, interventions, or remote support calls
  • Achieve your individual utilization targets set by senior management; participate in regular progress reviews

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree (electromechanics, electrical engineering, ICT with hardware knowledge, etc.) or equivalent
  • Passionate about technics, including technical service procedures
  • Problem solver with a hands-on mindset
  • Client centricity: customer focus, good communication skills
  • Work independently: high degree of self-motivation
  • Flexibility: you will be travelling within the Benelux on a daily basis
  • Growth attitude: eager to learn new products & technology, share knowledge & best practices
  • Fluent Dutch/French and English knowledge (any other European languages is a plus)
  • Experience in hardware maintenance & repair; in general, customer support or helpdesk is a plus
