iGuana iDM v7.2: NIS2, Azure Backup and HL7 v2.8

iGuana iDM v7.2 is available to all existing customers with an active maintenance contract. The release contains concrete improvements in compliance, cloud backup and sector-specific integrations. Customers upgrade at no cost.

The workflow engine has been completely redesigned. The new engine runs 40 percent faster than the previous version and now supports parallel tasks and deadline escalations. Workflows with multiple approval steps therefore proceed considerably more efficiently, without manual intervention at every task transition.

For the healthcare sector, v7.2 introduces support for HL7 v2.8. Hospitals and residential care centres can now exchange patient records between systems that speak HL7 v2.8. This simplifies integration with clinical information systems and reduces dependence on manual imports.

In the area of security and regulation, the release includes comprehensive NIS2 compliance features. In addition, automatic backup to Microsoft Azure has been added. Organisations subject to mandatory NIS2 compliance now have an auditable backup strategy within the document management system itself, without external connectors.
