FAQ — book scanners Belgium

Which book scanner suits Belgian archives?

For Belgian libraries and archives we recommend Qidenus Smart Book Scan (affordable, fast), Qidenus Mastered (high quality), or Zeutschel OS A2/A3 (planetary scanners, FADGI/Metamorfoze compliant). iGuana is an authorized distributor with installation and training.

What is the difference between a book scanner and a document scanner?

A document scanner uses a paper feeder for loose sheets. A book scanner has a V-shaped cradle or planetary setup so bound books and fragile material are scanned without damage.
